Distinguished Guests,

First of all, I would like to say a big wellcome to all of you and extend my sincere thanks for being present here this evening.

As you all know, today is the second day of the spring. As the weather is warming up, we are also warming up the souls and spirits of our Mostarian friends. And at this beautiful time of the year, we are glad to have with us here Ms Şefika Kutluer, one of the most reputated musicians of Turkey.

Şefika Hanım is known as the “magic flute” among the music circles in the world. And she has performed in almost all the continents, from America to the Far East, from Europe to Africa. And it would be a great missing if we didn’t have this “magical” flute here in Mostar which is the magical city of the Balkans. In this regard, I feel obliged to thank her and to Mr Lucic for honouring our beautiful city, Motar.

Last but not the least I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Pavarotti Musical Center for hosting this concert and also to Turkish Airlines and Turkish Ziraat Bank who have kindly sponsored this event.
